After 6 years of CHSU-FM Kelowna, BC being branded as 99.9 Virgin Radio, 99.9 Sun FM has finally came back to the Kelowna radio airwaves. The 1st chapter of 99.9 Sun FM came to an end on October 3, 2019, when the announcers pulled off a big surprise rebrand as 99.9 Virgin Radio. But on February 8, 2024, this station, along with 44 other Bell Media radio stations, were being sold to different owners, including CHSU and 20 other B.C. radio stations to Vista Radio due to the big BCE layoffs in almost 30 years. And as of today, the next chapter of 99.9 Sun FM has begun under Vista Radio ownership. Not to mention that due to the BCE sale, the station's website has changed to  mykelownalakecountrynow.com , along with sister stations CILK-FM and CKFR-AM. Special Bulletin - Rogers extends NHL media rights in Canada for another 12 years until 2037-38

We've got the official announcement this morning that Rogers Communications is retaining the NHL media rights in Canada for an additional 12 years worth $11 billion, an agreement that starts in the 2026-27 season and lasts until the 2037-38 season.
