Top Programs of the Week - December 30th, 2024 to January 5th, 2025


As we say goodbye to 2024 and say hello to 2025 this week, the 1st part of the big Canadian specialty channel shuffle kicks in today, with the Corus versions of HGTV Canada and Food Network Canada rebranding into the Home Network and the Flavour Network, respectively, while the 2nd part of the big shuffle won't kick in until the start of 2025 (more details on the January 1st, 2025 section to come later.)

It's a big day for Canadian specialty TV, as Bell Media rebrands Discovery Canada into the USA Network, Investigation Discovery becomes Oxygen, Discovery Science will become CTV Nature Channel, Discovery Velocity will become CTV Speed Channel, and Animal Planet will become CTV Wild Channel, while Rogers Communications launches new Canadian versions of the Discovery Channel, Food Network, HGTV, Investigation Discovery and the Magnolia Network, but content from Animal Planet, Cooking Channel, Motor Trend, Oprah Winfrey Network, and the Science Channel will stream exclusively on Citytv+, in addition to these 5 brands mentioned above!
